Google appears to be testing a revamped Q&A feature for Google Business Profiles (GBP).
The new feature adds a Q&A button directly to the GBP dashboard in Google Search. It also introduces a new question flow that asks businesses simple yes-or-no questions based on their business information.
The updated feature appears to give businesses another way to provide Google with information about their services.
The development is notable because Google has also been working on Ask Maps, a feature that allows users to ask questions about places and businesses. Google had previously been expected to move away from the existing Q&A feature in favor of Ask Maps.
However, this new test suggests Google may still be exploring Q&A as a way to collect more structured business information.
It is not yet clear whether the revamped Q&A feature will replace the existing system, work alongside Ask Maps, or become part of Google's broader effort to improve business information across Search and Maps.
For now, the feature appears to be in testing and is not confirmed as a full rollout. To stay updated, get in touch with Vybepop Media.
